The Adaikalamatha College was pioneer in starting B.Sc Industrial Electronics and M.Sc Electronics courses in the Bharathidasan University affiliated colleges.

The Department of Electronics was established in the year 1988 and in the year 1995, M.Sc Electronics course was started.

The introduction of courses in Electronics provide perfect balance in theory and practical studies in the latest areas in the field of Electronics.

The education syllabus comprises of advanced papers like Digital Signal Processing, VLSI & Digital Signal Processing.

Our Department has laboratory facilities which are excellent and unique and the students always have an opportunity to put their theoritical ideas into practical use.

Our extensive laboratory coverage includes Analog & Digital Electronics Lab, Micro controller PC Hardware Lab which are dedicated in specialized areas, enabling students gain indepth practical knowledge.

Our technical Library is a treasure house which has a well maintained collection of books & journals for everyday reference.

The Department frequently organizes workshops and seminars. Technical symposiums in the name of Modula are conducted every year which provide a chance for external colleges to participate and win accolades. It also gives an opportunity to the students to know of their position in the global arena. Seminars are conducted inviting resourceful personalities to deliver lecture.

Apart from education, the students are taken to industrial visits every year. A part of their visits covers leading research organizations like ISRO, National Aerospace Laboratory, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. Integral coach factory these tours provide the students a birds-eye view of what is happening in the outside world.

Recently, we have successfully conducted an electronics exhibition, Festronics 2004, which has been a "feather in the cap" to all our achievements, so far.
